15 Days Beijing/Urumqi/Kashgar/Turpan/Dunhuang/Xi'an/Shanghai
Day 01 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, greeted by the local guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02 Beijing
The
highlight today is a visit to the Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese
ancient civilization and to the Olympic Park--the Brid Nest and Water
Cube. Attend a Beijing Roast Duck banquet in the evening.
Day 03 Beijing
Morning
program takes you to Tianan men Square and the Forbidden City, the
residence of emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing
features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good
harvests and the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci
Xi. Enjoy the Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening at Changyang
Theatre.
Day 04 Beijing/Urumqi
Morning
flight to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Urgur Autonomous Region.
Visit the Nanshan Pasture to enjoy the life of the minorities in
Xinjiang.
Day 05 Urumqi / Kashgar
Take
a full day tour to the Heavenly Lake and enjoy the the cruise trip on
the lake. Visit the International Bazaar- local market. Evening flight
to Kashgar.
Day 06 Kashgar
Visit the famous Sunday Bazaar,
which stretches for miles as thousands of local nationalities and
merchants come from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, etc.
Day 07 Kashgar / Urumqi
Visit
the one of the biggest mosques in Xinjiang area, the Idkah Mosque, the
Abak Hoja Tomb. Evening flight to Urumqi and check into the hotel.
Day 08 Urumqi / Turpan
Bus to
Turpan, the second lowest place and the oasis in the desert. Visit the
ruins of ancient Jiaohe city and the Flaming mountain.
Day 09 Turpan / Dunhuang
Visit
the Grape Valley where the well-known seedless grapes are growing,
the Prince Su Pagoda and Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Cave. The local water
system is very different. people call it Karez underground irrigation
well. Travel to Dunhuang by overnight soft-sleeper train in the evening.
Day 10 Dunhuang
Arrive in
Liuyuan in the morning and driver 2 hours via desert to Dunhuang. Then
ride a camel to the desert for a visit to the Sound Sand mountain and
Crescent Moon Lake in the desert.
Day 11 Dunhuang / Xi'an
Morning
tour takes you to the famous Mogao Grottoes where contains over
thousand pieces of frescoes and Buddha status. It started from 220 bc
and over 500 caves remained. Now it is the largest treasure house of
Buddhism in the world. Fly to Xi'an in the afternoon.
Day 12 Xi'an
A full day
tour recalls the glories of ancient xian as you visit the burial site of
an incredible army of 8000 lifelike terra-cotta soldiers, the majestic
wild Goose Pagoda. At that night, you will enjoy two specialties, Xi'an
Dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty Show at Shaanxi Grand Theatre.
Day 13 Xi'an / Shanghai
Fly
to Shanghai, the financial and commercial center of China.Visit the
major attractions of the city, including the Yuyuan garden at the old
quarter, the famous waterfront Bund and Nanjing Road comercial street.
Evening programme for the visit to the TV Tower--the pearl of the east.
Day 14 Shanghai
Free day. (suggested to shop at Xiangyang free market for cheap famous brand clothes, watches and bags)
Day 15 shanghai
End of the trip.
