Weekend trip to Qufu and Mountain Tai in spring

 Day 01,saturday: home cities to tai’an by train, 

then bus to qufu morning high speed train from home cities to tai'an-he town where the mountain tai is located.

from beijing south about 2 hours; from tianjin south about 1.5 hours;

from qingdao about 3 hours; from jinan about 25 minutes; 

from shanghai hongqiao about 3.5 hours; from nanjing south about 2 hours.

met by local guide at the train station. 

chartered bus to qufu, the birth place of confucius, about 1 hour.

visit the confucius temple,the place where people offer sacrifice to confucius, the 

confucius mansion where the decedents of confucius to live; and the confucius forest 

where the confucius and his offspring are buried.

overnight at qufu queli hotel (4 star, best of local)

(lunch, and dinner)

Day 02,sunday

after breakfast, bus to tai’an (about 1 hour) take the cable car to the top of the mountain (1545 meters high) enjoy the beautiful scenery on the mountain---  the southern heavenly gate, the celestial      street, the cliff inscribed scripture from tang dynasty, the could rock, the jade emperor 

temple, the daoist azure cloud temple.they are all located on the top of the mountain.

cable car down to the foot of the mountain in early afternoon.

if time permit, will visit the dai temple where the emperors off sacrifices to the god of 

mountain tai in chinese history.

take the afternoon high speed train back to your home cities at about 5 pm (it takes the 

same time on the train back to your home cities)

(breakfast and lunch)
