18-day China tour of Beijing/Xian/Wuhan/Yangtze River Cruise/Chongqing//Lhasa/Guilin/Shenzhen/Hongkong
★ Day 01 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
★ Day 02 Beijing
The
highlight today is a visit to the Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese
ancient civilization and to the Olympic Park--the Bird Nest and Water
Cube. Attend a Beijing Roast Duck banquet in the evening.
★ Day 03 Beijing
Morning
program takes you to Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City, the
residence of emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing
features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good
harvests and the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci
Xi.
★ Day 04 Beijing/Xian
Fly to Xian in the morning. Check into the hotel. After lunch, visit the majestic Wild Goose Pagoda and the Ancient City Wall.
★ Day 05 Xian
A
full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xian as you visit the
burial site of an incredible army of 8000 lifelike Terra-cotta soldiers
and the ancient Banpo Village. At that night, enjoy two specialties,
Xian Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show at Shaanxi Grand Theatre.
★ Day 06 Xian/Wuhan/Yichang
Morning
flight to Wuhan at the junction of the Yangtze and Han Rivers. After a
visit to the famous Yellow Crane Pavillion, take bus to Yichang where
you will board on the Yangtze River Cruiser in the evening.
★ Day 07 Yangtze River Cruise
Visit
the Grand Dam of the 3 Gorges in the morning. Here the trip will pass
through one of the three massive locks, the Three Gorges Dam.
Welcome banquet on board.
★ Day 08 Yangtze River Cruise
You
weave through Wu Gorge, with bewitching Twelve Peaks soaring above.
Then continue to Wushan and boats for a trip up the Daning River to the
Three Small Gorges, a stunning area of dramatic hillsides, caves and
lush bamboo groves.
★ Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise
You arise early for a spectacular journey
through the last of the three Gorges, Qutang Gorge. This breathtaking
narrow passes through misty peaks and sheer cliffs are the grandest of
them. Visit either Shibaozhai or Ghose city-Fengdu during the day.
★ Day 10 Arrive in Chongqing
Your
cruise arrives in Chongqing, the mountain city. After a city tour
including the Museum of 3 Gorges, the E-ling Park, the Great Hall. Check
into the hotel.
★ Day 11 Chongqing/Lhasa
A morning flight
brings you to the world's highest capital city, Lhasa in Tibet. You are
greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel for
rest of the day to adjust yourself to the high altitude.
★ Day 12 Lhasa
Today's sightseeing includes the Potala Palace, traditional executive office of Dalai Lama; the 1,300 year-old Jokhang Temple, Tibet's holiest place of worship. Also visit the fascinating free market.
Also
will visit the 15th Century Drepung Monastery.In the evening, you will
enjoy a Tibetan style dinner, which you can get to known more folk arts
of Tibetan minority people.
★ Day 13 Lhasa/Chengdu/Guilin
In
the morning you will fly to Chengdu, then connect flight to the scenic
Guilin. Then visit the Reed Flute Caves where visitors are dazzled by
the spectacular stalactites, stalagmites and the mirror lake. Check into
the hotel.
★ Day 14 Guilin/Yangshuo
Spend
the day aboard a scenic Li River Cruise through the mist-shrouded
limestone mountains, passing picturesque farms and fishing villages.
Upon arrival in Yangshuo, free time to visit the countryside or the
famous west street.
★ Day 15 Yangshuo/Guilin/Guangzhou(or Shenzhen)
Bus
back to Guilin and fly to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, visit the Chan
Family Temple. City tour in the afternoon for this one of the most
developed cities in China. (if fly to Shenzhen, you may enjoy the most
fantastic great show at Splendid China Park and China Cultural Village
in the afternoon and evening)
★ Day 16 Guangzhou(or Shenzhen)/ Hong Kong
Bus or train to Hong Kong. Free day.
★ Day 17 Hong Kong
Free day on your own to expore the international city.
★ Day 18 Hong Kong
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
