12 Days: Shanghai/Wuhan/Yangtze River/Chongqing/Xi'an/Beijing
Day 01 Shanghai
Arrive
in Shanghai, the financial and commercial center of China. You are
greeted by your guide at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02 Shanghai
Have full
day sightseeing to the major attractions of the city including the Yu
Garden at the Old Quarter, the famous waterfront Bund and Nanjing Road
at the shopping center. IN the evening, Visit the Pearl of the East- the
tallest TV tower in China.
Day 03 Shanghai / Wuhan /Yichang
Morning
flight to Wuhan at the junction of the Yangtze and Han Rivers. After a
visit to the Yellow Crane Pavallion, bus to Yichang where you are
boarding the cruise.
Day 04 Yangtze River Cruise
Visit the 3 Gorges Great Dam Site in the morning, attend a welcome banquet by the Captain in the evening.
Day 05 Yangtze River Cruise
You
weave through Wu Gorge, with bewitching Twelve Peaks soaring above.
Then continue to Wushan and boats for a trip up the Daning River to the
Three Small Gorges, a stunning area of dramatic hillsides, caves and
lush bamboo groves.
Day 06 Yangtze River Cruise
You arise early for a spectacular journey
through the last of the three Gorges, Qutang Gorge. This breathtaking
narrow passage through misty peaks and sheer cliffs is the grandest of
them all. Continue upstream, Arrive at WanXian; you will have a brief
city tour to explore the small county along Yangtze River before
returning aboard to attend the farewell banquet.
Day 07 Chongqing/Dazu/Chongqing
Your cruise arrives in Chongqing, the mountain city. Visit the Dazu Stone Carving Cave-- one of the world herritage by UN.
Day 08 Chongqing/Xi'an
Morning
flight to Xi'an. A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xian as
you visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8000 lifelike
Terra-cotta soldiers and the ancient Banpo Village. At that night, you
will enjoy two specialties, Xian Dumpling Dinner and Tang Dynasty Show
at Shaanxi Grand Theatre.
Day 9 Xian / Beijing
In the morning
you will visit the majestic Wild Goose Pagoda and the Ancient City
Wall. After lunch, you will fly to Beijing, capital of China. Meet and
transfer to the hotel.
Day 10 Beijing
The
highlight today is a visit to the Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese
ancient civilization and to the Olmpic Park--the Bird Nest and Water
Cube. Attend a Beijing Roast Duck banquet in the evening.
Day 11 Beijing
Morning
program takes you to Tian An Men Square and the Forbidden City, the
residence of emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing
features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good
harvests and the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci
Xi.
Day 12 Beijing
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
